Sunday Scrapping

Slowly but surely getting through documenting my 2011 pages...

What with travelling so far to work at the moment and trying to plan a wedding I am having to find odd 5 minutes here and there to scrap!
February feels like such a long time ago now - so much has changed since then! But I enjoy looking back at what I did during the month.

The focus page is if my sister and I walking along the suffolk coastal path whilst away in Iken for the weekend. Every year we all go away for a weekend and this year was the first year we had little Benjamin with us which was very entertaining! It's the first time I have used Glimmer mist and I love it and can't wait to try it out in different ways!

Engagement!!

In March Chris and I went away for a long weekend on a canal boat holiday on the Llangollen canal in Wales. On the Saturday morning, after going through a staircase of locks, Chris got down on one knee and proposed! I am over the moon about it, and never expected it for one minute - he is good at surprises!! It took me a few weeks to get over the shock and we still haven't got very far with the wedding planning... but will!

This is the only page I have scrapped from that weekend so far, I have been struggling finding time to scrap now I am travelling a lot further for work and have been busy busy at the weekends - but have decided to dedicate a certain amount of evenings to scrap!

November 2010 pages...

Just a quick one to share my document 2010 pages for November.
I used Echo Park 'Wintertime' papers, and love them! They worked well with the theme that ran throughout my pages - winter and getting excited about Christmas :)

For my feature page, I used photo's taken when we went ice skating at Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park - Chris arranged it as a surprise for me, and it was so much fun although freezing! I love the little ice skates I cut out from a journaling tag - perfect for this page! xxxx

Kit Love

I couldn't wait to get started with my first kit, and it helped that I loved it all! I have started working through some photos that I have wanted to scrap for ages, and ended up using 3 photos from the same weekend away! I love this photo of the beautiful candy coloured beach huts and the papers were just perfect for it :) I distressed the edges of the papers, and used lots of the journaling stickers throughout the page.

I especially love the mini purple pom pom's!!

I was really glad that the papers could be used in such different ways and that this page looks so totally different to the one above. I loved the red photo overlay and the spotty paper and knew I wanted to use them together - the green compliments it well, and ties in with the photo. I used the green butterfly embellishment and then punched some more smaller butterflies in the coordinating paper.

For the third page I used a bigger picture, which takes up quite a lot of the page, I then just added embellishment clusters - with a bigger one with the title. I really love how the purple cardstock looks with the other colours on the page.

The little heart pins throughout the page look really cute!!

I still have quite a bit of the kit left and am planning on using every last bit so there will be more to come! xxx

Viva Mexico!

I never have as much time to scrap as I would like - which i'm sure is the same for everyone! Last year I mainly focussed on documenting the year, and didn't do much other scrapping, resulting in a pile of photos 'waiting' to be scrapped! This year I plan to work through these photos, along with new ones, and documenting 2011.
Whether this will actually happen or not - we shall see!! :)

I have started on the right track, scrapping a photo from our amazing holiday to Mexico in March. I used papers from the gorgeous American Crafts 'Abode' collection. I love how the colours work with the photo and my memories from the holiday. xxx

Kit Scrapping

I have just subscribed to a monthly scrapping kit from Sarah's Cards and I cannot wait to get started!

I think kit scrapping will be perfect for me as I am always moving round where I scrap - in the lounge, dining room or office! And this will mean nearly everything I need will be in one box - easy!

New Year 2011

Even though I haven't quite finished my Document 2010, with a few more months to complete.
I didn't want to get behind documenting 2011. I love the project, and really enjoy looking back though the album and reflecting on the year. Collecting the memorabilia each month is the one thing I sometimes forgot to do! So taking inspiration from Jen, who did two focus pages each month instead of the title page, I am going to change the first page depending on how much I have collected.

For January I actually collected quite a lot of bits! Typical -after a year I am remembering to collect! I used the gorgeous Echo Park 'Life is Good' range throughout the pages.

Quite a lot happened in January, with some focus at the beginning on the new year - I didn't make resolutions as I would never keep them - I just aim to take more photos this year to make sure I remember every moment.

I went snowboarding for a week, but not that many pictures were taken on the slopes, as it was absolutely freezing -18 oC!! The photo I used for the focus page, is of Chris and I at the very top of the glacier on the coldest day - hence why our faces are hidden... I used a flower embellishment that was actually a flower hair clip I took apart.

Just thought of an another New Years resolution - to keep on top of document 2011! Watch this space.....

February 2010

I started these pages back in March, and for some reason just couldn't finish them! I have now - keeping them simple. I used doodling throughout the pages and love the pink and blue contrast with the white...

My aim is to complete Document 2010 before the end of February, and get started on Document 2011 in the meantime. This year I am going to pick the papers I am going to use each month and then scrap the photo's when I take them throughout the month to try and keep up to date with it!! :)
